What we forget we try to remember; and what we remember we try... to forget!

Much worse than a "bad hair day"!

...the House agrees to give the president the power to use force against Iraq...this proposal has gone to the Senate...the president will address the nation on 10/7/02 about Iraq...advisers say the address - now in its fifth draft - seeks to synthesize the case against Saddam, the reasons war may be necessary and why the threat is imminent...President Bush warned that Saddam Hussein could strike without notice and inflict massive and sudden horror on America, offering a new rationale for pre-emptive military action against Iraq...10/6/02: Congressional leaders say that a resolution authorizing war against Iraq, is expected to pass with little dissent...this will strengthen the U.S. hand at the United Nations & increase pressure on Saddam Hussein to disarm...10/5/02: Israel, a country with nuclear weapons, staged its bloodiest assault against a Palestine stronghold, which has limited military armaments...Israel claimed that the area housed terrorists...yet George W. wants to attack Iraq before they strike at our country again...a country with nuclear weapons versus one that may have weapons of mass destruction...

...from President Bush's 10/7/02 speech:
"...weapons of mass destruction are controlled by a murderous tyrant."

...47% of American say we are winning the war on terrorism; 24% say we are losing it...

...from President Bush's 10/10/02 speech:
"...America has spoken as one voice..."
