...4. Why does President Bush have all this money & aid to give to Turkey, but will not provide assistance to his own countrymen, some who have fought in past wars, to help pay for the escalating costs of energy & health insurance expenses?
...some feel this conflict could become a religious war, threatening missionaries across the globe...has Osama bin Laden actually been sighted near the border between Pakistan & Afghanistan?...has two of his sons been arrested?...what has the captured al Qaeda lieutenant revealed, if anything?...(Note: it is amazing the number of ways al Qaeda has been spelled since 9/11!)...

...3/7/03: the morning was cold...recently, I can never arrive in time to transfer to the first LOMAS bus...we drive at the same rate every day, and pick up the same amount of passengers...yet only on 3/3/03 did luck allow me to make the earlier connection...the "cat lady" complains about the cold & the buses (again!)...both she & Margaret are on vacation next week...the Rounds are busy...all of PSACs' 18 beds are full, but 1 more is needed...by 9 the problem still existed...we took the HIPPA Compliance course...we may have studied one module too many, but it's better than one too few...had to bring billing sheets to NICU, who had rearanged their forms area...spoke with Dr. Hsi about counseling adopting parents about their prospective family (a boy & a girl), but not with children present in the room...the children cannot be billed, because services were not renederd to them or in their presence...so, we will get back in touch with him on 3/10/03...finished the assignment...coded some charges...
...Brad arrived...we went to the Owl Cafe, had a lunch of fish & chili burger...the day was getting warmer...we went to Target...Brad had to go to the bathroom...then, after shopping, Brad said he needed to go home and that I should continue my journey to get comics by myself...I was not pleased; in fact, I was very upset & unhappy...I quietly stated how I felt, and remained quiet for the rest of the day...but, in the end, what could I do ?...NOTHING!...I later found out that he was tired...I don't know why he just didn't tell me that!...3/8/03: a down type of day, which improved after taking a walk plus taking a nap...too many problems & stressful situations to handle...

...Madonna has wriiten a book of children's stories...the Fiery Foods B-B-Q & Festival is held 3/8&9/03 at the Convention Center...there are commercials on homeland security...by accessing www.ready.gov, people can find the simple steps to protect themselves during a terrorist attack...will the movie Chicago sweep the Academy Awards...signs point to YES!...the musical returns to the big screen, as demonstrated by Moulin Rouge last year...a person fell off the Royal Gorge Bridge near Taos...the death is ruled to be accidental...3/9/03: Emeril made a pizza with sausage & pepperoni...3/8/03: Brad made stir-fried asparagus, fried tofu with thick sauce & hush puppies...3/9/03: then he made sausage & beans plus a salad with guacamole, greens, onions & asparagus...the ABQ parking lot @5th & Copper may shut down on weekends, due to budget cuts & vandalism...it is hard to find downtown parking...the garage @3rd & Copper is an option...but it also dark in that area...the bars & restaurants on Central will suffer the most if this change takes place...
...Iraq needs to completely disarm by 3/17/03, or face military action...will war be declared, and by who or by when; on that day or at a present future date?...Blix asks for months; US & UK wants St. Patrick's Day as the deadline...there was no deadline or promises for the unemployment bill that did not pass until after Congress reconvened...the President did not go on TV to get America's support or approval of the delay...for Iraq, there should be no ultimatums, say opposing nations such as Germany & France...3/8/03: my barber & I have different opinions about the war & its outcome...this conflict is currently known as Operation: Gathering Storm...

...the bus situation is in crisis...now, buses will go south on 2nd...they still go up 5th until 3/22/03, at which point they will proceed up 6th...no new bus stop signs will be erected...drivers will let passengers off at the yellow areas of the curb (the indication of a bus stop)...can you believe that!...on 6th, some stop lights & signs have been reversed...
...the country's weather is stuck in a zonal flow...no serious storms through the week...temps in ABQ near or above 70 degrees...70 on 3/11/03; 71, on 3/12/03; 73, on 3/13/03; 72, on 3/14/03...the weather will be changing...changes (windy? cool? rain?) during the third weekend in March?...rain on St. Patrick's Day (Parade)?...chance of blowing sand...
...First Responders = police, firemen & medical personnel...90% of our schools are vulnerable to attack...teachers have not been given terrorist training...children are prime targets...security is lax in & around schools, with easy access to the buildings...but, above all, remain calm & do not panic...especially in front of your children...
..3/10/03: President Bush is not succeeding in his telephone diplomacy...France will veto going to war...maybe Russia, too...Pakistan will abstain...and Iran is firing up its nuclear reactors...nuclear blackmail?...from the Axis of Evil ? (Pres. Bush's exact words)...now the deadline may be pushed beyond 3/17/03...a proposal is to extend it an additional 45 days...the US is opposed to this...there is talk that the UK may not be able to provide assistance during the early days of the war...not so, replies the US...but; if America attacked on its own, it would be in violation of the UN Charter...most of the citizens in the UK oppose a war not approved by the UN...does our President have any remaining bargaining or bartering chips?...
...3/10/03: last night, Captain did not want us to sleep, wanting food or attention...going to bed early tonight...this was Dig Out of the Dung Day, trying to attack the junk billing sheets returned by Data Entry...this task was continued on 3/11/03...finished January charges (for now! more arrive at the end of 3/12/03!)...plus, we are supposed to help E/R...how many fires do we have to put out?...Brad is starting an outdoors stairs garden...meeting with Dr. Overturf (I/D)...new PICU forms arrived...Rosanne will be out until 3/18/03...bought a new Gateway PC...it is 2 below zero in Sioux City, IA (on the SD/IA border)!...3/14/03; 67 degrees, with snow on the way!...PC should arrive by 3/19/03; (problems arise, see here)...a co-worker praised Brad's necklace creations (I wore one with various shades of tan, stone & brick)...
...3/10/03: 2 accidents, minutes apart...one @Lomas & the hospital entrance...both cars had to be towed...there were crunched engines & broken axles...eastbound traffic was backed up...then, E on Lomas near the overhead walkway, a rear ender took place...this was followed by a long train blocking Lomas...then the bus dropping me off 1 block too far, and I arrived home @5...warm evening...
...3/8/03: saw the real Pollo Bueno outside the restaurant...
...3/11//03: war between Captain & Havoc @1 AM...Captain won, but highly upset (insufferable b*tch!)...scenting his area again...urinated in the outdoor litter box to show who's boss...but, he's quiet...slept on bed during night...I will try to go to bed early again...and hope for the best...both Captain & I have colds...his nose is running, mine is not...he was fed very good tuna & cat food...3/12/03, and his health is improving...so is mine, slowly...but I am tired of this dry cough...
