"Memories: the Highway of Lanes."

...President Bush arrived in Tokyo for a 6-day, 3 country tour, which includes China & South Korea...his first stop was in AK...this journey was originally scheduled for late last year, but was delayed due to the Sept. 11 attacks...2/19/02: arrived in South Korea; North Korea thinks he is trying to start another conflict, since Bush called them one of the axis of evil countries...South Korea also fears another war could happen, one their nation does not need ...this same opinion is shared by many countries, including Iraq, but not by the USA...there are sources which indicate, but will not confirm, that President Bush & Prime Minister Tony Blair are planning an attack on Irag...Bush's provocative description of North Korea has caused unease in Asia...the president was to discuss his views with South Korean President Kim Dae-jung at the Blue House, the official residence named for its ceramic roof tiles...the two then headed to the DMZ, the 2 1/2-mile-wide, 151-mile-long border strewn with mines and guarded by a total of nearly 2 million troops on the two sides...Bush planned to peer across the border at a desolate winter landscape dotted with military observation posts and propaganda signs...in a gesture of comity, the president intended to offer unconditional talks to North Korea...the day's events were designed to ease concerns among U.S. allies, including some South Koreans, that America is moving toward a military clash with North Korea...in a related item, President Carter regards the axis speech of President Bush as overly simplistic and counterproductive to world affairs...in another related story, a helicopter crashed in the Philippines, our second area of terrorist fighting...in another related event, a helicopter crashed near the Four Corners area trying to rescue a downed airplane (?)...and so it goes!...

...2/22/02: received a bunch of returns from Data Entry, errors due to the amount of things to remeber that were learned in a short period of time...the number of mistakes should hopefully decrease soon...but they went up, because the more you do, the more chances to make a mistake...sources tell me there was a pile of returns...there are, and the more you do, the more chances to make mistakes...but it is a learning experience, and on 2/26/02 Rosanne gave Ann & I errors made by other people who were out sick...sometimes the errors are not completed in 24 hours, so you view the same mistakes for several days...a nearly 4-hour class on CPT codes taught by a person who wanted to teach anatomy, and include Chicago, food & Emeril's kitchen (the chef) as additional topics...came in at 7 AM, in spite of forgetting my back pack, and completed the discharges plus the RAVEL corrections by 7:45, with time to get a cup of coffee before school...Rosanne let me leave at 4:00...Brad's health is OK, per his doctor...he cut his own hair on 2/22/02, creating a buzz cut...the next day he prepared a delicious White Daube Beef with Mustard, Herbs & Onions...got the 3M coding on 2/21/02, and the Daily Baby on 2/22/02...starting 2/27/02, will perform an audit on long form bills, indicating the specific type of errors found...that same day helped Hope & Dr. Brandt on various services...had a bill for a baby born on Sept. 11, 2001, a day that will be forever remembered...as of 2/23/02, there are 2,839 confirmed deaths at the WTC...2/24/02: Sunday Brunch at the Beach, with poached eggs on toast topped with Hollandaise sauce & bacon, plus mimosas...

...3/10/02: foreign governments reacted cautiously to news that the Pentagon has studied options for nuclear strikes on countries that threaten the United States with weapons of mass destruction...some outside of government called it a worrisome thought...the Pentagon has informed Congress it has outlined for President Bush the possible use of nuclear weapons against hostile countries such as Iraq or North Korea that are developing weapons of mass destruction...the Los Angeles Times reported the targets could also include China, Russia, Iran, Libya and Syria...

...Chuck Jones, who created Bugs Bunny, Road Runner, Wile E. Coyote & Pepe Lepew, died at 90 of heart problems...he had lived in NM, and used its landscape as a major background in his cartoons...his use of aliens probably started from his visit to Roswell...Sweet Dreams are Made of This by Eurythmics...Tina Santana, ABBA and take me on a Flight to Fantasy!...after circling up and down several streets, parked at the Washington Hilton in order to attend a Dungeon Dance, being held at Kilimanjaro in Adams-Morgan; a couple of times it was held at the old WUSA building in the U Street area...the anthrax in Atlanta wasn't...2/26/02: in 1.5 hours, Anne & I created & printed my performance review, since my PC will not print WORD documents, only census forms...Elton John is endorsing a lipstick company whose profits will go to AIDS research & charities...met Dr. Hickey (female)...2/27/02: performed my first audit...

...things that have flashed before my eyes...3/1/02: a pizza delivery person shoots a customer and commits suicide...2/28/02: sources reveal secret undergound cities near DC which house government officials in case of an attack...now China & the US both have Hidden or Forbidden Cities!...sources also reveal that bin Laden & the al-Qaida are regrouping for more attacks on America, possibly with nuclear intentions...this has resulted in more security along our borders, both on the ground and in the air...we are supposedly killing al-Qaeda troops, but where did they come from, or where have they been hiding during the last two months, since a stillness covered Afghanistan & neighboring Pakistan during the early part of 2002...3/10/02: bin Laden's wife says she knows he is still alive...now, conflicts have occured in Afghanistan, India, Israel & Palestine...the war has earned the new slogan Operation: Anaconda!....

...have you ever stopped to count the number of anniversaries & birthdays celebrated by car dealers & furniture stores?...

...tapes reveal that Nixon toyed with the idea of using nuclear weapons during the Vietnam conflict; he told Henry Kissinger, who disaaproved entirely of the idea...a security tape showed the seconds after the airplane struck the Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001...Switzerland may join the United Nations...3/1/02: Dr. Suess's 98th birthday! the Pediatrics clinic had nurses dressed like the Cat in the Hat...there is a female person (I am not sure about that!) who drives the Lomas bus, and stops to rest at 5th & Copper, then stopped to mail a letter at Tijeras, then stopped for coffee at the McDonald's at Broadway & Lomas...this turned Friday from the day I started early, to the day I arrived late, later than when I usually can reach UNM without running like crazy around the house...the day went from warm to cool to windy & cold, and remained that way through the weekend...and on Monday, 3/4/02, I forgot my back pack and realized that fact as the Central bus passed in front of me...3/6/02: Brad cooked a wonderful pork roast, served with paella...then he made pork with cabbage & cream with rice pancakes (super yum!), and created bread pudding, as well!...the end of another era; as of 3/4/02, PBP no longer runs on the FORVUS system...it is purely PC driven...this marks the end of the greenbar reports...

...3/5/02: results from various tests show that my T-cell count is up, my viral low is way down, and other problems are not going away...I am plagued by the three H's: HIV, Hepatitis C and High Blood Pressure...so I double my Altace and return to the clinic on Friday afternoon to see what the numbers say, which provded to be impossible due to the week's events...c'est la vie, c'est la guerre, c'est le mort, c'est la paix...the system would not reboot, could not access various systems (this included E-mail) during the early AM, and was not able to print anything during the entire day (which included the census)...the area is being switched to a different server, but why wasn't this done during the weekend...3/7/02: the printer was working in the morning, which is when I needed it!...

...some wine, some herb, dancing in the living room, fooling around and watching TV or a movie...Saturday afternoons at Second ST...the exclusive (aka expensive) section of the Trading Post in Cameron, AZ...

...3/49/02: Rosanne enjoyed her vaction in Las Vegas, NV...

...who needs the news, I have reality TV...speaking of which, I compare the AM news to background music...from 3/4/02: I got a cold or something due to the weekend's extremely cold weather...on 3/6 & 3/7/02, the office was stuffy, there was no air to breathe; this was supposedly due to A/C repairs...I shared the fan with a nearby area...3/8/02: I came prepared with a T-shirt under a sweater, but it felt cooler...the wind, which reached 50 mph, knocked roofing material onto Eubank...there was a multi-vehicle crash on I-40 east of the city due to the dust blowing across the highway...a shooting took place at the corner of Broadway & Central, blocking traffic during the 3/6/02 morning rush...this took place at the intesection when the revitalized high school became an apartment complex...in Los Lunas, a house caught on fire...one of the fire engines skidded near the sight and fell on its side...a police officer was involved in an accident on his way to the incident...and all this located on Ann's street...she convinced the officers that she lived on that street...but Ann's life is up in the air as she waited for her mother's decision on cancer treatment; chemo or radiation therapy, maybe surgey...she was not at work from lunch on 3/6/02 until the end of the week...3/7/02: the results from the tests are not good...the cancer has spread through her body, and surgery would more than likely kill her...the options for Ann's mother are only chemo- or radiation therapy, which will take their toll on a body...so as of now, Geri has come down to help out...3/8/02: Geri & I get stuck in a stairwell...the alarm was sounding so they seal the doors...luckilly the first floor doors opened, but I was willing to walk down to the basement if it became necessary...and Geri met Brad...and Geri is trying to devise a means of lowering my BP (forget it, see
why)...3/11/02: Ann returned...

...in celebrating the 69th birthday of Monopoly, the Channel 7 newsteam created a similar game, based on Old Town Albuquerque; they designed a game board and were playing it as I left for work...Gary Condit lost his bid for reelection in CA; to date the body of Chandra Levy has not been found..then there's the nurse from Ft. Worth, TX who struck a man then drove her car back home, with the man stuck in her windshield...she had been using alcohol & drugs...the man was partially lying on her hood...the woman went out to her garage and apologized to the man, who eventually died from both exposure & the injuries...
