...2/25/03: the Lomas bus driver who drove very slow in order to prove his point that the #5 & #11 buses reach downtown at the same time...2/26/03: the black bus driver who has been a pain in the neck in the past, told me that I would have to wait near the library on Copper due to the streets being dug up in the area...

...3/5/03: this was Ash Wednesday...it was also a day of protest marches in schools around the world...part of Central was closed at UNM students demonstrated in that area...the street was shut down to traffic...so the Central bus was rerouted to Lomas...so I got on the bus (after a while you don't believe what the sign in the front says)...the bus went south on Broadway and west on Central...this will probably be the quickest time to get home from UNMH, less than 30 minutes!...
...3/5/03: the day started with less than full occupancy for GPU...but the burden had shifted to PSAC...and, continued into 3/6/03...there were no available beds in the area for 3/6/03...oh, well!...in PSAC, Dr. Ralston said "Mike" and asked a question...little did I realize she was talking to me...when she approached me, I told her that because of my common first name, and my location in the hospital, I did not think I was being addressed...good point! she said...

...3/5/03: it was a cold & windy walk at lunch as I passed a Plymouth Breeze...I was underdressed, especially when the winds became gusty...however, we are starting a period of warm, dry weather...to cool down chili, eat or drink dairy products...buses are going down 2nd into downtown...they will eventually use 6th to leave that same area...the final changes should take place by 3/22/03...the Menaul goes down 6th until Lomas, E on Lomas, then S on 2nd...

...Blix somewhat praised the Iraqis...they are co-operating...but not fully...it will take months, not weeks or years, for the inspections to be completed...they must fully & unconditionally disarm...missles are not toothpicks...why go to war when the inspectors are making progress...Iraq diplomat says the deadline is nonsense...could Osama bin Laden's death mean the end of al Qaida?...Iraqi soldiers may attack their own countrymen using British or American uniforms...however, what happens if the country's remaining military might cannot defend against terrorists in our own cities?...what happens if the US slumps into a recession (see above facts)?...Pakistan states it may capture bin Laden by 3/9/03....
