Spanning the Centuries

Brad has purchased 2 carved American Indian flutes & several Navajo rugs. The library is expanding with books related to Native American culture, including the subject of "two-spirit" or "berdache".

Music: Native American (of course!); dance ("High NRG/sleaze"), many of the current "Boy Groups", Latin, "Pop", classical, fado (Portuguese), "Big Band" & New Age (Kitaro)...and others that don't fit into any specific category, such as the Alan Parson Project & Sako Watanabe! Mike W. has also created dance tapes with music from the 70's to the 90's. Other favorites on our list include: Doors, Neil Diamond, Barbra Streisand, D'ream, Guess Who, Supremes, the Who, Grass Roots, Gordon Lightfoot, Seals & Croft, Gerry Rafferty, Moody Blues, Jefferson Airplane & Starship, Renaissance, Chicago & Credence Clearwater Revival and many more.
Religious beliefs: Yes.

Professional Sports: Mike W. is a Red Sox & Patriots (the team which won the 2002 Super Bowl!) fan. Upon moving to Albuquerque, discovered that the city is split in its loyalty for the Dallas Cowboys & the Denver Broncos.
Comics: Mike W. has collected DC comics for over 40 years!
Books: Mike W., currently Native American, mainly Hopi/Navajo, culture;
Brad, the same categories, plus science-fiction, fantasy, philosophy, religion, metaphysics & science.

Movies: "Rocky Horror Picture Show", sci-fi (including Japanese monster flicks and the Tremors collection...Tremors, Tremors2: Aftershock & Tremors 3: Return to Perfection), old horror movies (pre-1980's, especially with Vincent Price), James Bond "disaster" (especially Irwin Allen productions); fantasy/magic (like Mortal Combat & Double Dragon), and not to forget the Lord of the Rings trilogy plus a good XXX-rate porno movie every now & then! Not limited to, but have seen: Longtime Companion, Parting Glances, Broken Hearts Club, Jeffrey, Trick, Kiss Me Guido, Beautiful Thing & My Beautiful Laundrette. And, of course, there are Priscilla & Too Wong Foo.

TV: Mystery!, especially any Agatha Christie or Sherlock Holmes telecasts, Tales of the City series and Queer as Folk (via DVD); the list includes Will & Grace, Charmed, Stargate SG-1, Code Name: Eternity, The West Wing,Twin Peaks, Wolf Lake, Jack of All Trades, Mutant X, Cleopatra 2525, Smallville, Beastmaster, the Avengers, Babylon 5, Brimstone, Sheena, Earth: Final Conflict, Relic Hunter, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Lost World, V, Due South, Designing Women, Kung Fu, Farscape, Roswell, Fantasy Island (current version), Andromeda, Birds of Prey, Xena, Pretender (think PEZ!), Ultra Violet, Dark Shadows, Witchblade, Sliders, Highlander, Queer Eye, Tarzan [sadly gone], Stargate: Atlantis, Sanctuary, Supernatural, Heroes, Dr. Who, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, X-Files, Enterprise, Tracker, Kindred: The Embraced, Chronicle, EEK Monsters!, Eureka, Roar, Tremors & Firestarter, Star Trek (various series) & Max Headroom. They also watch the Discovery Channel, E! Channel, documentaries about houses & gardens & architects (oh my!), the Weather Channel (not very often) & the Food Channel with Emeril, Food 911, East meets West, Good Eats, Oliver's Twist, the Barefoot Contessa & Two Fat Ladies plus Style Channel with Nigella. Recent events in 2001 & beyond have added CNN & CNN Headline News, also the FOX network. In DC & NM, we watch the Channel 7 news.

Beverages of choice are: iced tea, coffee, juices, milk, beer, soda, sake, wine & champagne.
Note: there was a time when Mike W. & Brad faithfully watched "Dynasty" & "The Colbys". In 1986, they viewed the season cliffhangers of both shows at Studio 1 in Los Angeles, enjoying champagne & watching a Giant screen TV (yes, size does matter at times!). During the "Moldavian Massacre" they & their roommate Bill enjoyed champagne while discovering who was actually dead! During the 1980's they enjoyed Beauty & the Beast.

Brad has a penchant for gems & minerals, which also includes jewelry. He also has collected owls & bears (Brad = Bernard = "Bold as a Bear"); these animals can be seen in many rooms of their abode.

Azzarb has an entire series of 1960s' Matchbox cars & some Hot Wheels (remember the "Deora"!). For a non-smoker, he has been collecting matchbooks for over 20 years. He has also dabbled in dragons & Tarot card readings.
And no matter how long, loud &/or serious an argument, Mike W. & Brad always have slept together that night in the same bed.

Where have we traveled (to name a few): Oil City, Intercourse & BlueBalls, PA; Dooms & Gore, VA; Truth or Consequences, Tres Piedres & Pie Town, NM; Pecos, TX; Show Low & Tuba City, AZ; Montrose, CO; O'Fallon & Normal, IL; Adair, IA; Saint Cloud, MN; Sakonnet Point, RI; Buzzards Bay & Woods Hole, MA; Mystic, CT; Nyack, NJ; Angola, IN; Junction City, KS; Klamath Falls, OR; Winnemucca, NV; Mena & Forrest City, AR; Cave City, KY; Hurricane, WV & Hurricane, UT; Medora, ND; Wall & Kadoka, SD; Ogallala, NE; Bar Nunn, WY.; Hollister, CA; Frostburg & Point of Rocks, MD; Brunswick, GA.

Mike W. is very cynical, becoming increasingly so due to events that occured in 2000 (see hell); this has proved to be quite useful to handle life in late 2001 (see why). Unfortunately, he does not fully trust anyone.

Brad has worked in a dirty book store, and the two of them were narcotic mercenaires...
