...Dr Hickey was not fully aware of HIPAA guidelines...there is no June I/P PEDS attending physician schedule for GPU or PSAC...5/30/03: at lunch, I spilled an entire pitcher of ice tea which was dangerously perched in the fridge...I had to go to Medical Records, then to Rosanne's office to get a list, then returned to her office with completed charge correction forms plus 2 other invoices which had not been adjusted...plus walking the entire Rounds & reviewing all the charts...it has been a very stressful 2 days...try to think of the melodious music of the Lipitor commercial...several accidents caused major traffic jams at various locations on I-40 during the PM...

...5/31/03: Brad made a delicious panzanella...Italian bread cubes in bacon & tomatoes with spices...an enjoyable salad for summer weather...and we were treated to rain & thunder in the late PM...more to follow?...heavy rain fell in Santa Fe & DeBaca counties...it is harder to ignite a fire at the top of a mountain due to the tall trees with thick foliage...the Mescalero Indians have had to close camp sights due to the high fire danger...people may only drive through that part of the state...no picnics...there is a natural wetland preserve S of Santa Fe...Brad made green iced tea, enjoyable in the summer heat...

...5/31/03: the Coronado Center, built in 1964, has been sold...the new owners want a modern mall look, with outward facing shops plus more restaurants & theaters...@7 AM, a ladder & weathering fell off a truck traveling in the left lane @Central & Tingley...another truck stopped behind the objects on the road & helped the first man load & secure them on his vehicle...ABQ spends $1 million dollars cleaning graffiti...a gusher of water was captured on home video near 86th ST SW...dust storms swallowed Phoenix...and haircuts for us...

...6/4-5/03: severe weather struck Portales, ripping off roof & turning over an RV...power lines & poles & transformers were tossed in the air; a truck was crushed in the process...there was wind shear, but no confirmed tornados, and no loss of life...a car was blown off the road & into a ditch...1.75" hail in San Miguel CNTY...2.5" hail & possibly a tornado near Cannon AFB...the storms left that area @2 AM and could still be seen in the distance heading east into TX...highways 70, 267 & 470 were closed due to flooding waters...and more rain is expected...6/5/03: a tornado watch was issued near Tucumcari, but was reduced to a severe t'storm watch...winds reached 61 mph...the storms were traveling very fast, 35 mph...severe weather warnings E of the central mountains from N to S...cloudy skies this AM...

...Martha Stewart faces charges of securities fraud & obstruction of justice, but not the criminal offense of insider trading, which is a federal offense...she has resigned as CEO, and faces 30 years in jail & a $30 million fine...Sammy Sosa faces charges for using a cork-filled bat, because they allow a person to hit farther than normal...all other bats that are his had no cork...there was a jogger with lime green sneakers...

...Brad has been transferring his pictures from the old, slow Gateway to the faster, more modern Dell...young men in this city look like that could form the 21st century version of "New Kids on the Block"...the "Cat" woman of the Central bus still does not talk to me and looks another direction...the silence is appreciated...

...6/5/03: Brad created Tomatillo & Tamarind Soup plus a Baked Portabello Mushroom Sandwich...both were great to eat and gone too soon!...spent the day counting the number of Radiology charges that needed to be coded (actually, 5 of us [Cassandra, Darrel, Judy, Isabel & myself] did that task)...the amount approached 9,000...Doreen, the Data Entry Supervisor, will do Hope's work until that position is filled...
